The East

My dad is quirky and he likes to tease the grandkids in a way only he can. He recently asked Holden if he likes the North or the South, Holden thought for a second and said "Papa, I like the East because that is where the Easter Bunny comes from".

Sesame Seeds

Dinner conversation while eating turkey burgers:
Ridge "What are these things on my bun?"
Joel "sesame seeds"
Ridge "so if I plant them in the ground I will grow a burger?"

Cake in Heaven

Ridge and Holden share a birthday with their Great Grandma Esplin who recently passed away. We were talking about their upcoming birthday and they asked if Grandma was going to have a party in heaven. Ridge said "I bet God is going to make her a cake", Holden replied "I think that everyone will bow to her".

Dream's

Putting Holden to bed the other night I asked him what he was going to dream about and he said "just a minute mom let me see what's on" he closed his eyes for a few seconds then opened them and said "it was just a commercial".

Are you my mother?

Ridge will pretend to be me and in a high pitched voice yell for Holden or Gray with bogus instructions like "Gray, go to bed", "Holden, brush your teeth" or "kids come clean your room". It was pretty funny the first couple times they actually fell for it. It cracks me up to hear his version of me.

Hold hands

Joel took the boys to UVU one day and while they were about to cross the road he told them they had to hold hands with an adult (if you just say "hold a hand" they will hold their own hand and insist that it qualifies based on instruction). As they were about to cross Joel only had Ridges hand so he looked for Holden. Holden had grabbed the hand of a beautiful girl that was about to cross the street as well. Joel was amused and impressed with Holdy's smooth moves, although she was surprised the girl decided to escort the bold young man across the street.

I'm Hungry

If Ridge is talking he is telling you "I'm Hungry" and like Cookie Monster he is insatiable! He has made it a must to have "Zert" at our house every night... and he has been trying to make "Zert" a pre and post of all meals, however Joel and I are staying strong on that one.

Ridgeisms

"Didn't see that one coming", "Oh my ga ga gosh", "come to papa", "thats why.... (insert any strange reasoning for why things are the way they are)"

Pool cover

Our boys thought it was a good idea to walk on a pool cover with open pocket knives. Thankfully Joel caught them before either were hurt... seriously I hope we can get these two to adulthood!

Name change

Holden has requested that we call him "Diamond", this is a change from his "Ho Ho" name that he has been making us call him for the last couple months.

Hair flip

Ridge: "Do wohman's think it's cute when you go like this?" he then pretends to flip his hair like Justin Bieber (I say pretend because he currently has a buzzed head).

Gasoline

Holden drank gasoline! We were at our friends house when I noticed that Holden smelled strongly of gas. He must of just sipped it because he was more freaked out that we noticed than he was sick. After a call to poison control and some time all was well. Holdy never lacks excitement in his world.

Ridge has another family

Ridge told us one day that he was going to walk a long way to his other family's house. The dad's name was Leon and the mom's was Susan and he was sad to go but he probably wouldn't miss us.

Holden says...

Mom we need to move closer to the mail man, he is tired and if we moved closer he wouldn't have to work so hard and maybe could take a vacation.

Twin Blog

I am creating this blog to journal the events in the twins lives as well as the funny, crazy and interesting things they say and do. The events and thoughts will be out of order due to this being a new blog and they are already 5 yrs old. Looking forward to the chronicles of these cute boys.
